“My name is Mohamed Boudja, and I am 8 years old. I have been an orphan of both parents for years, and I live with my grandfather, who is 67 years old. My grandfather is very poor; he does not engage in any activities, so he cannot feed me. I am forced to beg to eat.

One day, I couldn't find anything to eat while begging, and I was very hungry, so I started to cry on the road. I saw someone approaching me to ask why I was crying. I replied that I was hungry, and he told me to follow him. He was the coordinator of the WAYYO NGO center in Kornaka. I didn’t know him, but I was so desperate to find something to eat that I followed him. He took me to the WAYYO NGO center in Kornaka and gave me food. I ate until I was full that day. He told me that I could come and eat at the center for free five times a week, as much as I wanted.  I was so happy.

Since that day, I have been going to the WAYYO NGO center in Kornaka every day, even when there is no program. I feel at home there. It’s like I have found a second family. Thank you to all the workers of the WAYYO NGO and their partners.”
