“My name is Yousrah Oumarou and I am 13 years old. My father has two wives, and we are 10 children on my mother's side. My father is a dauquary, a very poorly paid job. It is not every day that he can get work. So, it is not every day that he can bring home food. In addition, he has no fields to farm so he cannot cultivate food for us to eat. My mother does not work outside of the home. She is a housewife. We live in poverty. In our home there is no food and we also want to go to school but we do not have school supplies. So we are unable to go to school.

The opening of the feeding reception center in Kornaka was a huge blessing to my family. We now have a place where we can go to eat three times a week and we eat very well. I thank heaven every day for this gift God gave us by opening this center because it really changed our lives.”
